Aiden Sofa

The Aiden Sofa by Stanley Furniture is the big, clean-lined sofa. Wide 6.5-inch track arms, a boxy frame that stands 36.5 inches tall, a 45-inch depth and solid block feet give it more presence than anything else in our collection. The look is timeless and a little masculine, the sort of sofa that anchors a large living room, a den or a great room and does not get lost in it.

Then you sit down and it surprises you. The cushions have real weight and real give, and the 45-inch depth means you sink back rather than perch. Two deep seat cushions and two loose back cushions make it as good for a nap as for company. The wide, flat arms are a natural place for a laptop or a plate.

The Aiden is built on a kiln-dried hardwood frame, primarily solid alder, with corner blocks that are glued, stapled and screwed, which is what lets a frame this size stay square. Arched 8.5-gauge sinuous steel springs with double tie-wires carry the seat quietly and without sag. Cushions are a high-density foam core wrapped in a feather-locked envelope of Trillium gel-blown fiber, as soft as down without the feathers, so they keep their weight and shape. Built to order in the USA in your choice of 60+ fabrics and delivered in 6 to 8 weeks.
