Stanley Furniture’s position as the leader in the design of residential American-made wood furnishings has recently peaked the interest of several developers/builders.

Last fall, the first entirely sustainable, LEED-registered home in Greensboro, NC was in desperate need of American-made, locally-sourced furnishings. Greenspiration Home owner, Trish Holder was beginning to lose hope when she finally stumbled on Stanley Furniture. In her words, “With so many furniture manufacturers moving their production overseas, it wasn’t long before I realized that Stanley Furniture was the last of a dying breed. Given the high quality of furnishings I’ve found at Stanley, it’s a breed I want to see flourish.”
Shortly thereafter, word spread and we began receiving requests to participate in other sustainable home building initiatives. In fact, Linger Longer’s Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, GA, and Seabrook, the new Washington-based beach town, have chosen to decorate their sustainable model homes with one of the country’s few remaining American-made manufacturers.
